The Winds of Being

“I hope for you
the fires of transformation
that burns away the dross of ego
leaving oneness, grace, and light.
That you may breathe the winds of being
With wings of an eagle to soar
Sowing life into each other
opening hearts and doors
For you are a spring of heaven
A breeze in the desert of life
Giving hope to the hopeless and broken
Bringing grace, and peace, and light.”
-Bob Holmes, “Ode to a Mystic”

  1. I just found your beautiful site while looking for a particular line from Clarissa Pinkola Estés….

I love it… your vision and voice… what you have committed yourself to sharing with the world through the energy of love and continually renewing emergence into life…

I was wondering… do you have a mailing list I could be on that will notify me of new posts? If so, I would love to be on it!

    all my love,

    Corinne

  2. Corinne,

Your lovely note touched my heart this morning and I am so very appreciative of your taking the time to look around my site, and to write me. I have subscribed you to Sweet Breathing so you’ll get a quick email when I post. Thanks for wanting to receive this.

I find a quote that moves me and then a photo to compliment it from my library or I go out in search of that image that may further the impact of the words that I’ve chosen – a quote from a master, or from an every day soul like myself. Sometimes, its the other way around – the photo comes first, then I search for an uplifting message that resonates. It’s soul/spirit/inner work. Very fulfilling for me. I never know if anyone even sees the posts, but that isn’t the point.

All the pictures I have taken myself, and while I do write sometimes, more often I find wordsmiths that are far more eloquent than I am at expressing the wonder, awe, majesty, and mystery in the world. And the pain too. And hopefully how to absorb that pain while still finding the awe and wonder. With fresh eyes each day.

I hope you’ll drop by often and thank you again. Joyce
